Be part of the Global Orchestra in partnership with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, building the Concert for the Planet 2015: A multi-location, mass participation performance of Holst's The Planets.
EARTH HOUR | MARCH 26th, 2016
To bring people together to listen to each other and our planet’s needs, with music as the inspiration and the agent for change.
WHAT WE ARE WORKING TOWARDS
On the countdown to Earth Hour at 8.30pm, as the SSO starts their performance of The Planets, we’ll beam a live stream of the SSO Chief Conductor David Robertson out from the Sydney Opera House to all forms of media, enabling people everywhere to synchronise together and play along with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Like the movement towards sustainability, there’s a part for everyone to play, whether you host an event, tune in as a listener or play an instrument…. OR VOLUNTEER TO HELP MAKE THE EVENT HAPPEN!
So here’s a part for YOU to play. By helping out at Global Orchestra Mission Control, we will resource the public and spread the word to get a huge number of participants involved for the very first CONCERT FOR THE PLANET in 2015. It will be an ongoing event.
We will engage you in the following:
EVENT MANAGEMENT, PRODUCING & ADMINISTRATION
Bringing the Concert to the Planet to the audience, budgeting, planning & management of event.
Technical writing, photography, graphic design, editing, & film making.
MARKETING, PR, MANAGEMENT
Develop social media management of communications, forward planning and media spends.
Create & develop market segments and understanding direct electronic mail.
Writing & communication in developing a viral campaign.
Our project relies on the support of volunteers, and ideally we are looking for committed applicants.
